Rescue is a lightweight gel serum with one of the shortest ingredient lists in the Osmosis range: just six ingredients. Its key ingredient is Trioxolane, Osmosis’s patented name for ozonised ethyl oleate, an oil that has been treated with ozone. It is paired with hydroxypropyl cyclodextrin, glycerin and a simple gel base.

Osmosis made Rescue for skin that is having a hard time: looking red, feeling irritated, or prone to blemishes. It is meant to be a calming step you can come back to when your skin is stressed, and it layers easily under other serums and moisturiser.

Because the formula is so simple, it is also a useful option for people who react to long ingredient lists or fragrance. Osmosis also suggests it after shaving or waxing, on the face or body, to help calm the look of redness.

How to use

Apply 2 pumps or desired amount on clean skin morning and evening. Follow with additional serum(s) and moisturiser if needed (directions from the box).

Who it's for

The box lists ageing, sensitive, irritated, blemish-prone and pigmented skin. Rescue suits people whose skin looks red or feels irritated and who want a simple, calming serum, and anyone who prefers a very short ingredient list.

If redness, flushing or breakouts are persistent, it is worth having them assessed by your GP, as some ongoing skin conditions need medical care.
