Balance is the Osmosis activating mist for oily, congested and blemish-prone skin. Like Boost, it is sprayed over your serum and pressed in to help the serum spread and absorb, but its formula leans on botanicals and gentle acids chosen with breakouts in mind.

Witch hazel water sits near the top of the list, with mandelic and lactic acids, two mild alpha hydroxy acids that help skin look smoother and brighter. Neem leaf and flower, red algae (Corallina officinalis), tea tree oil, turmeric root and holy basil add a strong botanical character, alongside glutathione, panthenol and allantoin. Lavender, peppermint and grapefruit oils give it a fresh, herbal scent, and Osmosis treats the formula with what it calls proprietary frequencies.

Balance pairs naturally with Clarify, the Osmosis serum for blemish-prone skin, and many people mist it over the face during the day to refresh.

It contains denatured alcohol and acids, so it can tingle on sensitive skin. Boost is the gentler mist if that is you. Balance is part of the Osmosis range at our Abbotsford clinic.

How to use

After serum application, spritz several times and massage into skin. May repeat when desired. Avoid direct eye contact (directions from the box).

Osmosis suggests using it with the rest of its blemish-prone products, and as a refresher through the day.

Because it contains AHAs, wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen during the day. It also contains denatured alcohol and essential oils; if your skin is sensitive or easily irritated, Boost is the gentler choice.
