Affirm MD is a newer addition to the Osmosis MD range: a serum made for the face, neck and décolletage, the areas that often show the first signs of ageing. It can be used on its own or mixed with your other serums.

Its backbone is a trio of peptides – palmitoyl tripeptide-5, palmitoyl tripeptide-1 and palmitoyl hexapeptide-12 – with hydrolysed collagen, niacinamide, squalane and the amino acids lysine, proline and glycine. The texture comes from apricot kernel, raspberry seed and sweet almond oils and a macadamia-derived ester. Swertia chirata, the extract Osmosis also uses in Enrich, appears here too, with ginger, lemongrass, eucalyptus, rose and bergamot oils.

The aim is skin that looks firmer, smoother and more lifted along the jaw and neck. Affirm MD suits ageing skin, and people who want to start caring for the neck early.

How to use

Apply liberally to target areas or mix with serums (directions from the box).

Osmosis suggests misting the face with Boost or another activating mist first, then massaging 2–3 pumps into the face and neck, and re-misting if you want the serum to glide more easily.

Who it's for

The box lists ageing and preventative skin. Affirm MD suits people who want a targeted step for the neck and jawline, either on its own or mixed into their usual serum.

It contains apricot kernel and sweet almond oils and a macadamia-derived ingredient, so check with your doctor first if you have a nut allergy. It also contains hydrolysed collagen, which is usually animal-derived.
